Refresh

 

In this section, you will learn how to refresh with the database servers.  Asset Controller does not do this automatically at regular intervals and there may be times when you need to do this manually.  However, many of the commands, processes and general use will do a refresh automatically in the background maintaining synchronisation with the database servers.

 

 

 

1. The Refresh button can be found at the bottom left-hand side of the form or by right clicking the grid view and selecting Database -> Refresh from the context menu.

2. Once selected, all the information on the form will be synced with the database servers.

 

3. You will see the refresh time from the bottom right-hand of the form.

 

 

4. There may be times when you make an edit and you get an error message saying Concurrency violation: the UpdateCommand affected 0 of the expected 1 records.  This is because the data between your PC and the servers are out of sync.  You need to perform a database refresh first to re-sync the data, then perform your edit afterwards.
