Notifications

 
You can add a pop-up notification message whenever an asset it is checked in or checked out in Tracking.  When a notification message appears during the checking in or checking out process, you can either acknowledge or close the message.  When a message has been acknowledged, it will be marked as read and a new notification can be created.  If the message was closed, it will reappear the next time the asset it checked in or checked out.  Notification messages can also be created, acknowledged and deleted from the Notification tab in Asset Information.
 
Please note: You can only have one unacknowledged notification per asset.

Add Notification
 
1. To add a notification, select an asset then right-click the highlighted row to bring up the context menu and select Notifications -> Add.  The notification message will apply to all selected assets.
 
 
2.  Enter the notification message then click OK.
 
 
3. Click OK to close.
 
 
You can also add a notification message from the notification tab in Asset Information.
 
 

 
Acknowledge Notification
 
1. To acknowledge a notification, select an asset then right-click the highlighted row to bring up the context menu and select Notifications -> Acknowledge.  Note: The notification message will be acknowledged for all selected assets.  Notification messages can also be acknowledged from Tracking when an asset is checked in or out.
 
 
2.  Select Notifications -> Acknowledge.
 
 
3. Click Yes to acknowledge the notification or No to discard.
 
You can also acknowledge a notification message from the notification tab in Asset Information.
 
 

 
Delete Notification
 
You can only delete a notifications from Asset Information.
 
1. Right-click the record from the Notification tab to bring up the context menu and select Notification -> Delete.
 
 
2.  Click Yes to delete the notification or No to discard.
 
 
3.  If successful, the notification will be removed from the view.
